LESSONS are offered to children 5 yrs & up, as well as to adults: from Beginner to Advanced. We emphasize barn safety and sensitivity to horses, and teach riding skills that will serve all purposes: pleasure; dressage; jumper; cross-country; hunting; etc.
The secret? Learning to achieve BALANCE IN MOTION. At any and all riding levels, this is the key to success, and enjoyment, for both rider and mount. (This also carries over to many other activities and aspects in our lives. . . !)

SHIP-INS: Please call for rates if you wish to bring your own horse to the property. Any part of our facility may be used for your lessons: dressage arenas, jumps, grass fields, cross country course, galloping track, etc.
NWF provides safety helmets to be warn by all, or you may bring your own.

Our brand new covered ring (68 x 120) means we can ride anytime (it's lit!) and in any weather. Crumb rubber footing is soft and springy. Delightful in summer, as it's shady and fly-free! Picnic table and grassy viewing area for your friends and admirers. Marked for dressage, yet plenty of room for jumps and gymnastic grids.

"None of Your Beezxaw" (aka Beezie)is our beloved lesson pony. She is as gentle and mannerly as any pony could be. She enjoys being greeted by happy children, along with the carrots that they bring! While calm and cool, she is also Very well trained . . in dressage and jumping. She especially likes to eat Candy Canes, and loves to have her eyes rubbed (gently!) She also enjoys trail rides and has been learning to pull the carriage. She'll be a big part of our lesson program again this summer, and will be helping us to teach carriage driving, even to the youngsters. She enjoys sharing a pasture with TONO, the llama.

Day in The Country is one of our larger lesson horses. She is a very lady-like Thoroughbred Cross mare. Her manners are impeccable, and her gaits are just lovely. You'll swear you are floating over the ground when you ride her! She prefers soft spoken riders, who just whisper their desires. She also prefers carrots over apples! She will win over even the most timid horse lover, with her large and loving brown eyes and gentle ways.

Cori Nichols offers training services for horses AND ponies, both on and off-site. Standing at 5'3", Cori is comfortably able to school equines of all shapes & sizes. Whether your needs are Backing or Groundwork; or your pursuits are Dressage, Eventing, Hunter, or Pleasure, Cori's approach will enable your horse to develop into a relaxed, balanced, athletic and willing partner.

Cori Nichols has been riding and training horses for over 30 years. She was a Nationally ranked Junior rider, qualifying for the coveted Maclay Finals two years in a row. She then went on to apprentice for Gary Rockwell (now an "O" level dressage judge,) where she had access to Gary's international training experience. She also trained hunters and jumpers extensively with the late Jack Rockwell, where they competed on the Wellington, FL curcuit for several years. Cori currently studies dressage with "r" Judge Pat Jacobson, and receives Eventing coaching from Eric Horgan. She has just returned from a winter in Ocala, Florida with Mr Horgan, where she trained intensively for 7 weeks. Cori is currently pursuing her Event Instructor's Certification (ICP) from the US Eventing Association. She loves both training horses and riders alike.
